Special weather statement for Kootenay and Rogers Pass

More snow on high-elevation roads today.

Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for the Trans Canada Highway and Highway 3 this morning, Apr. 21.

Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass on the Trans Canada Highway is expected to receive a further five centimeters of snow.

Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass on Highway 3 is likely to see 10 more centimeters of snow.

The snowfall will end early this afternoon over Kootenay Pass and late this afternoon over Rogers pass according to a media release.

Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
