KELOWNA – Firefighters were called to the Liquid Zoo in downtown Kelowna Sunday morning to put out a pair of fires set in doorways at the strip club.
Platoon captain John Kelly says the first crew to arrive at 274 Lawrence Ave. at about 5:10 a.m. reported “visible flames and smoke” from two entrances.
“Crews were able to gain access to the structure and once the smoke was ventilated it was determined that the fire was started on the exterior of the building,” Kelly says in a media release.
Some of the fire made it inside the club, he says. The fires were put out quickly and no one was injured.
Investigators from the RCMP and fire department were on the scene Sunday morning looking into the cause of the fires.
