NBC will do live remake of ‘Peter Pan’ in December

PASADENA, Calif. – NBC says its next live musical will be “Peter Pan,” to be broadcast in December.

It will be produced by the same team that made “The Sound of Music” with Carrie Underwood, which reached 19 million viewers last month. NBC entertainment president Robert Greenblatt said Sunday that the strong viewership surprised even NBC.

Almost immediately, NBC started kicking around ideas for another musical.

The cast has not been announced.
