COQUITLAM, B.C. – An investigation into alleged sexual offences involving minors has led to charges against a man who operates a North Vancouver music business.

RCMP say 22-year-old Lamar Alviar of Vancouver is accused of several charges including possession of child pornography, sexual touching of a minor and sexual assault.

Mounties say the alleged incidents were reported to have happened in Coquitlam and police are taking the unusual step of releasing the man’s name and photo.

Police say Alviar, the operator of LA Music Studio, had no significant police history before these charges.

He was expected to make his first court appearance Monday.
