CALGARY – WestJet Airlines Ltd. says it is bringing its new Encore service to Ontario.

The airline (TSX:WJA) says it will start with routes between Toronto and Thunder Bay, Ont. and between Thunder Bay and Winnipeg.

WestJet didn’t say when the Encore flights to the two Ontario cities would begin.

The airline has been growing its regional service since last June.

It also announced Monday that WestJet Encore will start flying between Fort McMurray, Alta., and Kelowna, B.C., and between Fort McMurray and Vancouver starting in May.

The main WestJet service is also increasing its flights serving Fort McMurray, with new non-stop flights to Las Vegas and more frequent flights to Calgary and Edmonton.

The company (TSX:WJA) says it will also introduce direct flights between Toronto and Dublin beginning on June 15.
