2 dead after light aircraft collide midair in Netherlands

THE HAGUE, Netherlands – Dutch emergency services say two people have died after two light aircraft collided in midair in the southwest of the Netherlands.

The regional security organization for central and western Brabant says two people on board one of the planes died following the incident Friday. The other plane involved was able to make an emergency landing.

The organization says the cause of the crash, which involved two planes from the collection of a Dutch aviation museum, is under investigation.
