A woman and her five-year-old child were shaken up when group of youths dropping water balloons from a railway bridge smashed the front windshield of her car as she drove under.
Police received a call about 7 p.m. Friday that four to six males were tossing water balloons off the bridge by Kal Store. The woman and her child were not the only people affected by the mischief. The driver of a city bus had to swerve to avoid being hit by one.
"We are certainly fortunate there were no injuries," RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk said in a press release.
One of the males was wearing a light blue hoody and a baseball cap.
The police are asking anyone who saw the young men on the bridge or who knows who the youths were in this incident to please contact the RCMP detachment at 250-545-7171 or Crime Stoppers.
