Heroin, bogus bills found in stolen motor home in West Kelowna

WEST KELOWNA – Police have a Penticton man in custody after finding a stolen motor home packed with counterfeit money in West Kelowna.

RCMP say the Itasca Cambria motor home was stolen from a home in Penticton on April 26 and spotted by an off-duty police officer in the 2400 block of Dobbin Road in West Kelowna.

During the arrest yesterday, May 9 at around 11 p.m., officers found a small amount of heroin and hundreds of dollars in fake US $20 bills.

Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says in a media release Kory Horwood, 38, of Penticton has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of counterfeit money and breach of his undertaking. He says Horwood is also an unlicensed and prohibited driver, and was on parole.
