KELOWNA – Advance voting for the civic election starts Wednesday shortly after the rooster crows at the Parkinson Recreation Centre in Kelowna.

Polls open Nov. 5 at 8 a.m. at 1800 Parkinson Way and run until 8 p.m.

Then, on Wed. Nov. 12 polls will open at City Hall, 1435 Water Street, again at the Parkinson Recreation Centre and at UBC Okanagan, 3272 University Way at University Centre. On Thurs. Nov. 13 polls are open at City Hall and Okanagan College at 1000 KLO Road at the Centre for Learning atrium. The last day for advance voting is Fri. Nov. 14 at City Hall and Parkinson Recreation Centre. Polls will be open each day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Election Day is Sat. Nov. 15. The city has 13 locations to choose from for voting.

All voting locations area accessible to all electors, but the City Hall polling station will again feature a private voter assist terminal for voters who may have difficulty marking a ballot.

Eligible voters have lived in Kelowna for at least 30 days, are age 18 or older, have lived in B.C. for at least six months and are Canadian citizens. Voters will need two pieces of identification, at least one with a signature to prove residency and identity.
