Grizzly Road access to be limited

WEST KELOWNA – Give yourself a bit more time when passing through Grizzly Road and Highway 97 in West Kelowna, upgrades will create delays and restrictions for several weeks as the project moves forward.

Announced in August, the project will include construction of raised concrete medians to channel traffic turning left onto Grizzly Road at the intersection from the highway, as well as improved lighting and drainage.

When the $2 million project is complete traffic coming from Grizzly Road will not be able to turn left onto or go directly across the highway. Motorists will instead have to use the Daimler Drive or Butt Road intersections.

Expected to be complete by the end of November, construction should only cause minor delays over the next six weeks, according to the Ministry of Transportation.
