Brew pubs in Nova Scotia allowed to sell beer for home consumption from bar
HALIFAX – People in Nova Scotia can now buy beer made in-house at brew pubs to take home.
Under changes to the province’s Liquor Licensing Regulations, customers can buy beer from the pubs to take home instead of having to purchase it from an adjacent but separate storefront.
A spokeswoman for the provincial government says brew pubs can’t sell beer for off-site consumption during hours when Nova Scotia Liquor stores aren’t open.
Beer is allowed to be sold in sealed 1.8 to two-litre bottles, known as growlers.
