Winnipeg Jets back in Central Division cellar but not losing confidence

WINNIPEG – Most Winnipeg Jets took Wednesday off after their 4-3 loss to the Nashville Predators.

Centre Olli Jokinen says they’ll return to the ice for a regular practice Thursday as they prepare for the Vancouver Canucks.

He says Tuesday night’s loss hasn’t eroded any of the new-found confidence the Jets (25-25-5) have shown despite being back in the Central Division basement.

He says they know they can’t win every game.

The Jets have now won six of the eight games they’ve played since Paul Maurice took over as head coach.

And Maurice doesn’t view it as a step back on the kind of defensive zone game he’s trying to coach, which he adds remains a work in progress.
