SAO PAULO – Brazilian police say buses, cars and trucks have been torched in the southeastern city of Olimpia in apparent retaliation against the killing of an electrician by an off-duty police officer.
The Olimpia police department says that 15 buses, seven cars and two trucks were set on fire late Tuesday night. No one was injured, and no arrests have been made.
The department says the officer shot the electrician on Sunday during an argument at a local nightclub.
