Canadian defender Easther Mayi Kith signs with France’s Montpellier

Canadian defender Easther Mayi Kith, who played 89 career matches for West Virginia University, has signed with Montpellier HSC in the top French women’s league.

The 21-year-old from Quebec City, who has represented Canada at the under-17 level, graduated from West Virginia last month. She helped West Virginia post 12 shutouts in 2018.

Mayi Kith joins fellow former Mountaineers Kadeisha Buchanan (Lyon) and Ashley Lawrence (Paris Saint-Germain) in the French league.

Montpellier (6-5-23) currently stands fourth in the French standings.
