VANCOUVER – Vancouver police are investigating an incident captured on video in which two men agree to be kicked in the groin for money.
Sgt. Randy Fincham says a Twitter follower directed police to the online video, which shows a man kicking two men in front of a crowd of onlookers.
He says investigators believe the incident took place in the Granville entertainment district in the city’s downtown, although they are trying to verify the specific date and time.
Fincham says a person has the right to consent to being hit, but police are investigating the actions leading up to and following the kicking as possible criminal offence.
Fincham says police have identified the two men who appeared to have been kicked, and the man who was allegedly behind the kickings has contacted and is co-operating with police.
He says police are looking for witnesses.
