VANCOUVER – Police are investigating the death of a 37-year-old man in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.
Police say in a statement that officers were flagged down while driving in the neighbourhood late Sunday.
The officers were told a man was possibly suffering from a drug overdose after a witness saw him collapse on the sidewalk.
Instead, police say paramedics at the scene found stab wounds while they were performing chest compressions.
Police say the man was taken to hospital, where he died of his injuries.
No arrests have been made in what police say is the city’s fourth homicide of the year.
