US police say 2 people shot inside suburban Atlanta supermarket; 2 people in custody

LAWRENCEVILLE, Georgia – Police say two people have been shot inside a suburban Atlanta supermarket.

Lawrenceville police spokesman Greg Vaughn tells WSB-TV that the shooting happened at a Kroger store Monday afternoon. He says two people of interest have been taken into custody.

Vaughn says the shooting came after some sort of fight or argument but didn’t have details.

Vaughn says the two victims have been hospitalized and information on their conditions wasn’t immediately available.

A call by The Associated Press to the Lawrenceville police spokesman wasn’t immediately returned.
