Argonauts extend contract of Canadian WR Mike Bradwell through 2015

TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts have extended the contract of Canadian wide receiver Mike Bradwell through the 2015 season.

Bradwell was scheduled to become a free agent Tuesday.

Born and raised in Toronto, Bradwell is entering his sixth CFL season, with all six played for his hometown Argonauts.

He has a record of 86 catches for 1,040 yards and four touchdowns.

The Argos took the McMaster University graduate with the 13th overall pick in the 2008 CFL Draft.

As a member of the Marauders, he was a first-team All-Canadian and led the country in receiving yards in 2008.

“He is a smart, physical receiver who can play all of the positions and he is a great special teams player,” general manager Jim Barker said in a club statement on the extension.
