Falcon Ridge and Star Place water outage

KELOWNA – Customers of two Regional District water systems will be without water for up to four hours on Wednesday, October 23rd.

That’s the day that Environmental Services staff will be inspecting, cleaning and doing maintenance on the reservoirs that service the Star Place and Falcon Ridge water systems.

On the 23rd from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon eight properties that are connected to the community water system on Star Place off Trepanier Road in the Central Okanagan West Electoral Area will be without water while the work is completed.

Customers of the Falcon Ridge system that services over 50 properties off Highway 33 in the Central Okanagan East Electoral Area will not have water from 12:00 noon until 4:00 pm on the 23rd for the reservoir maintenance and inspection work.

Communications Officer Bruce Smith adds, “We recommend that Star Place and Falcon Ridge customers avoid using any water during the period that the scheduled work is taking place on their system.   Once the work is complete, customers for each system should check their water prior to use. If you experience any discoloration, run the cold water tap until the water runs clear.”
