UPDATE: West Kelowna finds owner of abandoned boat
WEST KELOWNA – There’s somebody with some explaining to do about why their sailboat has washed up on a Westside beach.
West Kelowna communications supervisor Kirsten Jones says the owner of a boat found seemingly abandoned has been in contact with them.
The boat was found Tuesday, June 12, after a windy day on Okanagan Lake, Jones said in a press release earlier this morning.
White-hulled with black markings, the boat was found north of the Bennett Bridge on Westbank First Nation beach lots, Jones said.
If you can identify the owner, please contact the City of West Kelowna bylaw department at 778-797-8810.
