KAMLOOPS, B.C. – Three high school students have been charged with distributing child pornography in connection with material exchanged between students at several high schools in Interior B.C.
RCMP Cpl. Cheryl Bush says the students involved are under 18 and that the case involves a sensitive and emotional subject.
She asks that the community allow the judicial process to take its course.
Bush says Mounties continue to work with the local school district and individuals identified throughout the investigation, which was launched on Jan. 21.
The superintendent of the local school district, Terry Sullivan, has said that some students have already been disciplined.
The names of the teens won’t be released because they are young offenders.
