B.C. Lions sign linebacker Jamall Johnson
VANCOUVER – The B.C. Lions signed free-agent linebacker Jamall Johnson on Friday.
The 31-year-old Johnson spent the last five seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats after starting his CFL career with B.C. in 2005.
The 10-year veteran has 486 tackles defensive tackles, 102 special teams tackles and 26 sacks in 122 regular-season games.
The two-time East Division all-star had 65 total tackles last season to go along with three sacks.
“I’m excited to have a player of Jamall’s experience and quality return to our club,” Lions head coach Mike Benevides said in a statement. “He’s got some very good football left in him and his leadership will be great addition to our room.”
