
Stormy conclusion to a hot week in the Okanagan
KELOWNA – A stormy conclusion to the week in the Okanagan will be followed by rebounding temperatures on the weekend.
Environment Canada says the Okanagan can expect the temperature to hit 29 Celsius today, June 21, accompanied by a 70 per cent chance of thunderstorms. A severe thunderstorm watch was issued this morning.
On Friday, expect a 40 per cent chance of showers, possible thundershowers and a high of 26 C.
Temperatures are expected to rebound on the weekend to 28 C on Saturday, with cloudy skies. Sunday will be the most pleasant day of the weekend with a mix of sun and cloud and a high of around 30 C.
On Monday, be prepared for a 60 per cent chance of showers and a high of 26 C.
Normal temperatures for this time of year in the Okanagan are highs of 24 C and lows of 11 C.
