Jones, Canada still perfect at Olympics after 7-6 win over Americans in 11th end

SOCHI, Russia – Skip Jennifer Jones and Canada’s women’s Olympic curling team are now a perfect 8-0 after a 7-6 win over the United States in 11 ends on Sunday.

Jones continued her stellar play, scoring a single on the final throw of the extra end.

The United States (1-7) stole a point in the 10th end when Jones’s hammer shot was thrown too heavily.

Canada built a 3-0 lead after two ends, but the Americans scored three in the third to tie it.

The two rinks traded points in the fourth and fifth ends, before Canada took a 5-4 lead in the sixth. Jones would add a point in the seventh.

American skip Erika Brown earned a point in the eighth to make it 6-5 and a scoreless ninth gave Canada the hammer for the 10th.
