NANAIMO, B.C. – The latest mystery for RCMP in Nanaimo B.C., involves a lot of dough — even for a bakery.
Mounties are searching for the owner of a wallet discovered in the lost-and-found bin at Columbia Bakery.
None of the employees say they placed the wallet in the bin, but when it was spotted this month they decided to check for ID.
Police were called when the workers didn’t find any identification in the wallet, which was stuffed with cash.
Investigators aren’t revealing how much money was inside.
They believe the wallet was slipped into the lost-and-found bin sometime in December and want to talk to anyone who may own the item.
