Biden to appear on ABC’s ‘The View’ to encourage Americans to buy health insurance

WASHINGTON – The ladies of ABC’s “The View” are getting a special guest next Tuesday: Vice-President Joe Biden.

The vice-president’s office says he’ll appear on the daytime talk show to encourage people to sign up under the government’s new health insurance program.

The White House has a lot of work ahead to reach its unofficial goal of getting 7 million people to sign up by the end of March.

Nearly 3.3 million people signed up between Oct. 1 and Feb. 1.

Biden also is appearing on Monday’s premiere of NBC’s “Late Night” with Seth Meyers as the program’s new host.
