Kelowna RCMP searching for voyeurism suspect
KELOWNA – Police are hoping someone can identify a suspect in a possible case of voyeurism in Kelowna almost two weeks ago.
RCMP say officers were called to a report at around 4:41 p.m. June 16, of a man allegedly seen placing a cell phone under a woman’s skirt as he walked behind her in the 2200 block of Harvey Avenue near the Orchard Park Shopping Centre.
“The witness observed a man walking behind her friend and he bent down and placed what appeared to be a cell phone under her friend’s skirt,” Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Tania Carroll says in a media release.
The suspect quickly walked away when the witness yelled at him.
Police describe the suspect as a Caucasian man, 50 to 60 years old, 5’8” to 5’9” tall, wearing a white and grey plaid, button-down, short-sleeved shirt.
Investigators would like to have a word with the man.
Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect is asked to call the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.crimestoppers.net.
