Brady Leeman fourth in freestyle ski cross as Frenchmen sweep medals
SOCHI, Russia – French freestyle skiers swept the podium Thursday in the men’s skicross competition at Sochi Winter Games while Brady Leman of Calgary was fourth.
Jean Frederic Chapuis won the gold medal, Arnaud Bovolenta captured the silver medal and Jonathan Midol took the bronze.
Leman crashed in the final as he tried gain ground on the three Frenchman late in the race.
Chris Del Bosco of Montreal, who was fourth in skicross at the Vancouver Winter Games in 2010, was eliminated in the opening round and finished 17th overall.
Dave Duncan of London, Ont., who is second in the World Cup standings with a pair of victories this season, was also eliminated in the opening round and wound up in 26th place.
