KAMLOOPS – Quadding in the hills outside Kamloops yesterday went from bad to worse when a rider first got a flat tire, then had the vehicle stolen.
Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Cheryl Bush said the female owner called a friend to help with the flat tire. She left the vehicle at the corner of Campbell Creek Road and Scutio Lake Forest Service Road for about an hour in order to grab a truck and haul it away.
"When they came back it was gone," said Cpl. Bush.
The Arctic Cat Wildcat side by side was only a year old and police are asking for anyone who may have seen something to contact the local detachment at 250-828-3000.
"There's some things that are very unique to it that only the owner knows," Bush said. "Our best hope is that somebody saw something in that area."
