Corus to launch Cooking Channel in December

TORONTO – Corus Entertainment is serving up another food TV channel on its menu of specialty networks.

The company says the 24-hour Cooking Channel will launch in Canada on Dec. 12, as a rebrand of W Movies.

The new network “caters to avid food lovers” and will cover everything from global cuisines to food history and unconventional how-tos.

Food Network Canada, meanwhile, “will continue to bring Canadians dynamic, new entertainment-driven food related programming,” says Corus.
