TROIS-RIVIERES, Que. – One of two adolescents arrested in a triple slaying has been arraigned before a judge.
The defence has been given more time to study the evidence and a bail hearing for both minors will be held March 11.
They were arrested Feb. 11 after three people were found dead in a home in Trois-Rivieres.
The accused each face three charges of first-degree murder and three of conspiracy to commit murder.
One conspiracy charge involves the three victims, one names another person and the third mentions “several police officers.”
The Crown has indicated it will seek adult sentences if the accused are found guilty.
Two of the victims were 17 while the third was 22. Police have speculated the killings were the result of an amorous rejection.
