Man missing from Kelowna found dead in Kamloops
KELOWNA – Human remains found near the Kamloops airport have been positively identified as those of a Kelowna man.
A member of the public called Kamloops RCMP July 6 about human remains they had discovered along the banks of the Thompson River, Kelowna RCMP media relations officer Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey said in a press release.
The B.C. Coroners Service has now identifed the body as that of Martin Thiffault, last seen April 19, 2018 in the Kelowna area, the release says.
RCMP launched a missing persons investigation six days later.
No cause of death is given in the release and RCMP say they have turned the file over to the coroners service.
