NEW YORK, N.Y. – Billy Porter, who plays a drag queen on Broadway in “Kinky Boots,” will be next be doing a little something more traditional — he’s putting out a CD of musical theatre standards.

Concord Records will release “Billy’s Back on Broadway” on April 15, a 10-song album that includes “Don’t Rain On My Parade,” ”Luck Be a Lady,” ”I’ve Gotta Be Me” and “Everything’s Coming Up Roses.”

Porter, the newly crowned Tony winner, will also sing a medley duet with “Kinky Boots” composer Cyndi Lauper of “Happy Days Are Here Again/Get Happy,” made famous by Barbra Streisand and Judy Garland.
