
Hot week ahead in the Okanagan
OKANAGAN – This week’s weather in the Okanagan can be summed up in a single word — hot.
Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for the Central and South Okanagan as temperatures of 34 Celsius are expected today, July 16, and 35 C tomorrow before the mercury drops to around 32 C for Wednesday and Thursday.
A weather record could be broken today in Kelowna. The record high temperature for July 16 is 33.3, which was set in 2009.
Friday the high temperature will be a more seasonal 28 C.
Normal high temperatures at this time of year in the Okanagan are around 27 C.
