Two vehicle crash sends one to hospital

A two vehicle accident in Peachland last night resulted in serious injuries for a Kaleden man.

West Kelowna RCMP say a Ford flat-deck truck lost control in a slushy, slippery section of Hwy 97 as it was travelling north near North Beach Road. The truck spun twice and crossed all oncoming lanes before the Pontiac T-boned it causing it to flip over on its side. Both vehicles ended up in the ditch.

The driver of the Pontiac suffered serious, non-life threatening injuries and was transported by B.C. Ambulance Service to hospital. The driver of the truck fared better, sustaining few injuries.

Road conditions appear to be a contributing factor in the crash. So far, no charges have been laid.
