VERNON – A woman was taken to hospital today after being struck by a car.
Vernon Fire and Rescue Services Captain Colin Clarke says the woman was hit while using a crosswalk on 34 Street, near the Upper Room Mission, around 11:30 a.m. today, July 23.
The woman was conscious when emergency crews arrived and was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries, Clarke says.
Clarke did not comment on the cause of the crash but said police are investigating.
