VICTORIA – Charges have been laid against an accused Vancouver Island drug trafficker allegedly linked to the Red Scorpions gang.
The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit says Adam Donald was arrested in Sidney, B.C., as he was getting off a ferry after allegedly meeting with gang associates in Mission.
Police say the 40-year-old man was taken into custody in connection with the seizure of cocaine, heroin and packaged rock cocaine from a vehicle.
The unit says evidence was also recovered in a hotel room in Saanich.
Donald is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
He is scheduled to make his first court appearance in Victoria on March 31.
