
UPDATE: Evacuation alerts are still in place but no significant change from Yates Road wildfire
KELOWNA – Crews have made good progress on the Yates Road fire in Kelowna.
The Central Okanagan Emergency Twitter page reports there were "no changes on [the Yates Road Fire] overnight. Crews are now moving into the mop-up stage.
Evacuation Alerts for residents in the Wilden area remain in place at this time while crews assess the area.
There are 19 firefighters from the Kelowna Fire Department working on the ground today.
