Canada’s Nguyen men’s singles at world junior figure skating championships

SOFIA, Bulgaria – Nam Nguyen of Canada has captured gold in men’s singles at the ISU world junior figure skating championships.

The 15-year-old landed two triple Axels in a clean long program Saturday to win with 217.06 points overall.

Nguyen lives in Toronto and is coached by Brian Orser, who also works with Olympic champion Yuzuru Hanyu of Japan.

Russia’s Adian Pitkeev won the silver, while American Nathan Chen captured the bronze.
