Spacey responds to Rob Ford request for a photo with post on Twitter

TORONTO – Actor Kevin Spacey took to Twitter on Saturday to respond to a remark by Toronto Mayor Rob Ford on his “Ford Nation” show on YouTube.

Ford’s brother and fellow city councillor Doug Ford accused Spacey of being an “arrogant S.O.B.” and giving his brother the cold shoulder during a recent visit to Los Angeles.

He said while the mayor was waiting to appear on the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” talk show, the Fords were told they couldn’t talk to or take a picture with Spacey.

And Rob Ford called on Spacey to get off his “high horse and be real and take pictures with people.”

Spacey posted a doctored photo of himself between the Ford brothers on the “Ford Nation” set on Twitter with the caption “All you had to do was ask, guys. Here’s your pic.”

Spacey appeared with Kimmel as Ford did a brief promotional walk-on a day before Ford’s 15-minute appearance on the show and had taken a few jabs at the mayor.

Ford’s full-length appearance on Kimmel’s show saw the comedian bring up a number of controversies that have made the mayor an international talking point.
