The hit “Game of Thrones” TV series is only reaching its halfway point but it seems the end is becoming clear. Or at least clearer.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, show co-creators David Benioff and Dan Weiss say they’ve consulted with George R. R. Martin — the author of the “A Song of Ice and Fire” books the series is based on — and have a pretty good idea of how the story will eventually end. But they can’t be entirely sure because Martin hasn’t finished writing the last two books in the series.
Still, the duo says they’re now convinced the TV series will only run for another three or four seasons and they’ve got a game plan to get there.
“You’re aiming at something, for all these characters. For most of the major characters, we know the vicinity of where they’re headed, for the most part. And it’s just the idea of it barrelling toward some conclusion as opposed to just rolling down the road,” Weiss says.
“It’s a little complicated, because we have the five books, but then we don’t have anything beyond that, because he’s still working,” Benioff adds. “It’s sort of an unusual position in terms of adaptation because, you know, we’re catching up. It’ll be interesting to see what happens.”

It seemed like fans of “The Bachelor” had an almost universal hate-on for the latest star Juan Pablo Galavis after the reality show’s recent finale.
But an unlikely supporter has come to his defence.
Former “Bachelorette” star Jillian Harris penned a blog post defending Galavis and criticizing show host Chris Harrison. The Peace River, Alta., native thinks Harrison went too far in grilling Galavis about whether he loves the woman he chose, Nikki Ferrell.
“Chris is such a GOOD friend. I couldn’t have imagined doing the whole process without him by my side. I also think we can all agree, no one could host the show better than him! But… I was disappointed in him last night. I felt awkward the whole time he interviewed Juan Pablo and didn’t understand the strong and relentless emphasis on getting Juan to say that he was in love!” Harris wrote.
“I will be the first one to admit it — I THINK I SAID I WAS IN LOVE WHEN… I REALLY WASN’T… I wasn’t. I was convinced that I was in love, but looking back — I wasn’t. In fact I would be willing to bet that a big percentage of the L-BOMBS that get dropped on this show… are premature.”

“Mad Men” creator Matthew Weiner says he appreciates the lovingly obsessive nature of fans who dissect the show’s every nuance but is frustrated by the rush to criticize.
Weiner tells The Wrap that the Internet has spawned a culture of instant analysis that runs contrary to how he thinks the drama should be taken in.
“I don’t really pay attention to it anymore, but there were people writing reviews of the show while they were watching it,” Weiner says.
“How can you have any experience of what’s going on here if you’re talking while the characters are talking? But that all sounds super critical. All I can say, and I’m not pandering: What a great problem to have, if people are so into it that they’re reading into everything and they have their own theories.”
