Canadian athletes arrive home after successful Sochi Paralympic Winter Games

TORONTO – Canadian ski star Brian McKeever isn’t ruling out another appearance at the Paralympics in four years time.

He arrived back on Canadian soil today at Pearson International Airport, just a day after winning his third gold medal at the Sochi Paralympic Winter Games.

McKeever says he’s going to take some time to decompress and enjoy his recent accomplishments before making a decision on whether to compete at the Paralympics for a fifth time.

The 34-year-old skier from Canmore, Alta., has reached the podium on 13 occasions since making his Paralympic debut at Salt Lake City in 2002.

Several Canadian teammates joined McKeever at a late afternoon reception and media availability at the airport.

Canada won 16 medals at the Sochi Paralympics — seven gold, two silver and seven bronze.
