UPDATE: Twin Creek wildfire evacuation orders rescinded
UPDATE – Wildfire activity has prompted more evacuation orders and alerts in the Bonaparte Plateau.
Yesterday, Aug. 11, at about 4:00 p.m. the Thompson Nicola Regional District issued evacuation orders and alerts in Electoral Area “E” as a response to the Twin Creek wildfire.
Those have since been rescinded to evacuation alerts, at about 1:50 p.m. today, Aug. 12, 2018.
An evacuation alert will remain in affect for the following properties:
- 1761, 1771, 1781, 1791 Hutchinson Rd;
- All other properties within the boundary noted on the attached map.
Due to the potential danger to life and health, an evacuation alert has been issued for the following properties:
- The communities of 70 Mile House and South Green Lake as identified on the attached map.
The evacuation alert is to prepare you to evacuate your premises and property should it be found necessary. Residents will be given as much advance warning as possible prior to the evacuation; however you may receive limited notice due to changing conditions.
