$1.5M worth of counterfeit goods seized in Puerto Rico

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – Federal authorities in Puerto Rico say they have seized $1.5 million worth of counterfeit products that were mailed into the U.S. territory.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection said Monday that the items included clothes, shoes, textiles and pharmaceuticals. Officials said the majority of the products came from China.

It’s the third such multimillion-dollar seizure of counterfeit goods this year in Puerto Rico.
