Viral video captures dad’s hilarious prank on daughter at Vernon hospital

VERNON – A highly medicated woman coming out of surgery at Vernon Jubilee Hospital is famous after a video of her being pranked by her dad was posted to YouTube.

The video shows the woman waking up in hospital after surgery for a broken right ankle.

While it appears her dad initially joked that they did the wrong foot, the prank escalates to the woman thinking they operated on her left foot, which would be pretty miraculous since there’s no incision mark or cast.

“Well that's a good surgeon,” her dad can be heard saying in the video.

“Wow, it works like brand spanking new,” the woman says in awe.

Amazed, the woman praises her doctor and the Canadian healthcare system.

"Just look at it. Take that America. My foot is new," she says.

The video was viewed more than 225,000 times on YouTube as of Aug. 15.
