Canada shuts out Finland 7-0 at under-18 women’s world hockey championship

BUDAPEST, Hungary – Canada defeated Finland 7-0 at the under-18 women’s world hockey championship on Monday.

Eve-Audrey Picard had a goal and two assists and Shea Tiley made 22 saves for the shutout.

It was Canada’s second straight blowout win at the tournament.

The Canadians will enjoy an off-day Tuesday before resuming preliminary-round action the following day against the Czech Republic.

Canada is the two-time defending champion at this tournament.
