KAMLOOPS – Not only did they likely wake up with nasty hangovers, the inebriated pair that caused an accident on Highway One east of Kamloops have some souvenirs in the form of charges and traffic tickets.
The RCMP were called to the TransCanada near the B.C. Wildlife Park Saturday at around 6:20 p.m. for a call about a car crash.
Nothing out of the ordinary on the busy stretch of highway, especially with the Boo at the Zoo event underway. This time there were some unusual circumstances.
Police say the two drunks walked into traffic causing cars to swerve and brake to avoid them.
One of the vehicles braking for the wobbly pedestrians was rear-ended by another car that couldn’t stop in time.
No one was hurt.
The two bumblers were arrested.
They’ve been charged with being drunk in public and were handed tickets for failing to walk on the left side of the road facing traffic.
