Outdoor hockey festival in downtown Kelowna this weekend

KELOWNA – Downtown Kelowna around Stuart Park is already crowded with people for a free, weekend-long outdoor hockey festival that begins Saturday Nov. 15.

The Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour promises free hockey activities, prizes and the chance to meet some former NHL players.

There will also be a winter market showcasing local food trucks, a kids zone and video game area.

Gates open at noon Saturday and run until 6 p.m. Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday.

Mill Street from Bernard Avenue to Queensway Avenue and Queensway Avenue from Mill Street to Water Street will be closed until 6 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17. This road closure will not affect the Queensway Transit Exchange.
