Missing 7-year-old Saskatchewan boy’s body found on beach, uncle says

FORT QU'APPELLE, Sask. – The search for a missing seven-year-old Saskatchewan boy has ended with the discovery of his body, the boy's uncle confirms.

Darcy Pantel says his nephew, Greagan Geldenhuys, was found Sunday morning.

Pantel says Greagan was found on a beach, adding that he and the family are still dealing with the news and he wouldn't be speaking further until later in the day.

Greagan was last seen August 24 with his mother Tamaine Geldenhuys on a beach near the town of Fort Qu'Appelle northeast of Regina.

His mother's body was found the following day washed up on another beach near a campground about three kilometres away.

Police have said they don't expect foul play and the family says it looks like she drowned.
