Stone Temple Pilots to perform in Penticton

PENTICTON – Penticton’s events centre will play host to a co-headlining performance by the Stone Temple Pilots and Seether this fall.

The two bands will perform with special guests Default and Age of Days at Penticton’s South Okanagan Events Centre during a stop on their 2018 Canada tour on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018.

The Stone Temple Pilots have sold more than 50 million albums, arriving on the music scene to breakout success with their first album, Core.

The group is well known for such hits as “Sex Type Thing,”  “Wicked Garden,” and “Plush.”

Seether has also recently released their seventh studio album, “Poison the Parish.” debuting at number one on Billboard’s Hard Rock albums chart.

The alternative metal rock band has been touring non-stop since release of the album.

Age of Days are a Canadian rock band known for top 20 singles, “Afflicted,” and “Bombs Away.”

Tickets go on sale Friday, Sept. 7 at 10 a.m. and are available in person at the events centre box office, by phone at 1 877-763-2849, or online at: www.ValleyFirstTix.com

Ticket prices are $42.50, $62.50 and $72.50. Doors open at 6 p.m., show starts at 7 p.m.

I have been looking for news in the South Okanagan - SImilkameen for 20 years, having turned a part time lifelong interest into a full time profession. After five years publishing a local newsletter, several years working as a correspondent / stringer for several local newspapers and seven years as editor of a Similkameen weekly newspaper, I joined iNFOnews.ca in 2014. My goal in the news industry has always been to deliver accurate and interesting articles about local people and places. My interest in the profession is life long - from my earliest memories of grade school, I have enjoyed writing.
As an airborne geophysical surveyor I travelled extensively around the globe, conducting helicopter borne mineral surveys.
I also spent several years at an Okanagan Falls based lumber mill, producing glued-wood laminated products.
As a member of the Kaleden community, I have been involved in the Kaleden Volunteer Fire Department for 22 years, and also serve as a trustee on the Kaleden Irrigation District board.
I am currently married to my wife Judy, of 26 years. We are empty-nesters who enjoy living in Kaleden with our Welsh Terrier, Angus, and cat, Tibbs.
Our two daughters, Meagan and Hayley, reside in Richmond and Victoria, respectively.
